To Know You're Alive: Chapter 5

The man slumped to his knees and landed on his face, blood streaming from his mouth. The girl smiled and pulled a throwing knife from his back. She turned towards the door and walked out, closing it behind her. As she walked towards the main streets, she returned her hood to it's place.

   Loki woke up early the next morning. His cuts had stopped bleeding and was almost recognizable. The cuts looked like older wounds and didn't even hurt. Loki smirked and got dressed then walked down the halls and into the dining room. He walked along the glorious table that was covered in every variety of food. Loki stopped in front of a bowl of peculiar fruits. His hand overed over the bowl as he stopped to study the foreign objects. They were circular and were a brilliant shade of red. Loki picked one up and turned it around then slowly brought it to his mouth. The fruit made a crunch when he sank his teeth into its juicy meat. He smiled then continued his walk down the table and picked up some bread before walking into the throne room. He paused in the doorway. Seeing there wasn't anyone present, he strutted happily across the room, munching on his snack. Loki entered the stables and tacked his horse before mounting and trotting out towards the forest.
